Self-Assessent

The first quarter for me was great. I did better than I expected. I got an 82 which for me is very good. The vocabulary quizzes were pretty easy for me the first time through in which I got an 80 on both of them. If I were to stay after school and make them up until I got 100’s, I probably would have ended up in the high 80’s low 90’s. Another he mistake I made, was being extremely lazy over the summer. If I was to do the summer reading which was only five percent of my grade, and received a 100 then my grade most definitely have been in the mid 90’s along with redoing the vocabulary until perfect.

Once I realized I had gotten a 15 on my summer reading assignments, I never thought it would even be possible for me to reach the 80’s point. I figured I end up with a mid 70’s grade, but since I worked extra hard to my standards, I ended up in the low 80’s which for me is awesome. On my major assignments, I did very well and finished all of them on time which gave me the opportunity to make them up whenever I wanted. I decided not too however because my grades to my standards were already good enough to be marked down. However, on the in class essay for A Doll’s House, I should have put an extra period of time into studying to try and reach in the 80’s instead of the 70’s.

All together I feel excellent about my grade and how I did this quarter. Hopefully this quarter however I will end up with a higher grade, because I won’t have to worry about summer reading, and if I don’t end up with 100’s on my vocabulary I will make sure to redo them until perfection to show that I am committed to get the highest grade possible this quarter. I will also be trying to participate more in class this time around because that is also a good chunk out of the quarter grades. First time around I received an 8 out of 10 which for me is good but I should try an go that distance for the 10 anything lower isn’t necessary.
